Phase 2 Reopening Prince George’s Co and What Does it Mean?
- Gyms, fitness centers, and other indoor physical activities. Restrictions require 1 person per 200 square feet of fitness space and overall patronage may not exceed 50% capacity.
- Casinos, bingo halls, bowling alleys, pool halls, indoor skating rinks, miniature golf, and other recreational establishments. Restrictions require a maximum of 50% capacity, with safeguards in place.
- Amusement parks are open at a maximum of 40% capacity, with safeguards in place.
- Social and fraternal clubs are also restricted to 50% capacity, with safeguards in place.
- Shopping malls are open. Restrictions advise a maximum of 50% capacity, with safeguards and social distancing in place.
- Tattoo parlors, massage parlors, and spas may reopen. These services are available by appointment only. Added restrictions include 1 customer per 200 sq feet of service area, up to the maximum 50% capacity with safety and health guidelines must be in place.
Additional Parameters for Larger Gatherings
- Large gatherings have been allowed to resume but with some modifications. In a continued effort to minimize the spread of COVID, capacity is limited to one person/family unit per 200 square feet or a maximum of 100 persons, whichever is lower. All gatherings or larger venues must follow all CDC guidelines and enforce social distancing guidelines of 6 feet.
- Outdoor youth sports have resumed but with no more than 100 people in any area. They must still be in small groups of no more than 9 children and 1 coach.

CDC Best Practices for Preventing the Spread of COVID
- Wash your hands thoroughly and often: Wash hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. This is especially important after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid close contact: Whenever possible, maintain a minimum of 6 feet between any person who is sick in your household or between yourself and other people who don’t live in your household.
- Wear face coverings: Everyone should wear a cloth face cover that covers both their nose and mouth in public settings or around people who don’t live in your household. especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
- Cover coughs and sneezes: Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Immediately dispose of the tissue and wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, utilize a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean and disinfect: Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces often. Give special attention to items such as doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
- Monitor your health daily: Be aware of symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath which could be signs of COVID-19.
