About Our Property Management Company

Bay Property Management Group began in Baltimore in August 2009, when founder Patrick Freeze started the company from his family’s basement. A Baltimore native and Dickinson College graduate, Patrick built BMG around a straightforward idea: rental property ownership should be profitable without consuming an owner’s time or creating constant stress. 

BMG initially focused on managing single-family rental homes in the Baltimore area. As the company’s team, systems, and experience grew, its service area expanded throughout Maryland and into Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. In 2020, BMG purchased Professional Property Management of Northern Virginia and expanded throughout the Northern Virginia area.  Most recently, in 2024, BMG entered the Texas market through the acquisition of Stone Oak Property Management in Austin, followed by an expansion into San Antonio. 

Today, BMG manages over 8000 doors including single-family homes, multifamily properties, and rental portfolios across several major markets. Each office combines local property management experience with company-wide support for leasing, maintenance, accounting, compliance, IT, marketing, and customer service.
