Read on to discover all about Sinta, her professional background, and what she enjoys most about working here at Bay Property Management Group.
Meet Sinta Canonigo, Assistant Director of Property Management
Sinta is our Assistant Director of Property Management for our Baltimore office and has worked with BMG for three years. Before becoming our Assistant Director of Property Management, she worked as a property manager for over a year and a half.
Before working at BMG, Sinta graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 and was licensed within the same year. From there, she held numerous positions where she resides in the Philippines. For instance, she’s worked as an Administrative Assistant, Email Support Specialist, Public Speaker, Customer Service Representative, and Language Trainer. She even worked hard to fill three positions at once, being a Secretariat, Executive Administrative Assistant, and Budget Officer for a local political party in Bulacan, Philippines.
Working as a property manager and then an Assistant Director of Property Management is Sinta’s first time working in the industry. Before working for Bay Property Management Group, she held various titles, including Top Trainer and Top Performer for Alorica Phillipines, Inc., and Best Speaker in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
A Day in the Life of Sinta Canonigo
Sinta starts her day around 7 am and likes to log in 30-45 minutes early to work on her portfolio to assist other property managers or train new hires by 7:30 am. Her responsibilities include managing a portfolio of 70 doors, supporting and managing her crew of property managers, training new hires, and assisting our Director of Property Management, Megan.
A typical day for Sinta is quite busy–especially during peak rental season. While responding to owners and tenants, she also has to provide answers to her property manager’s questions and keep up with her normal tasks, such as monitoring the team members.
Her favorite part of her job at BMG is being able to assist property managers when they have questions. Helping them realize they can do and be more than they realize is incredibly rewarding. She also loves having the opportunity to learn something new every day because, in property management, each day is unique.
One thing that Sinta wished people knew about her job is that although it can get busy and sometimes crazy, it’s still fun. The property managers that she works with are a wonderful group of amazing people.

“Being transparent and having octopus hands (so you can juggle a ton of things at once) can go a long way.”
Getting to Know Sinta Outside of the Office
- When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do? – “I like to read books (I recently started re-reading the Harry Potter series) and cook for the fam.”
- Tell us something off your bucket list – “Go on vacation abroad and be able to try various authentic dishes.”
- If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why? – “My dad. He was a treasure trove of knowledge.”
- What is the best book you have ever read? – “Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel. A Classic.”
- If you could dis-invent one thing, what would it be? – “Warfare stuff, especially bombs, as they could hurt innocent folks.”
- What are three words to describe yourself? – “Passionate, fast learner, adaptive.”
