Meet Kathleen De Leon, Recruiting Assistant
Kathleen is a recruiting assistant for our Baltimore office and has been with Bay Property Management Group for one year and six months. Her professional background includes becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and working for Ernst & Young before starting at BMG.
In her day-to-day life, Kathleen is responsible for finding qualified applicants for open positions at Bay Property Management Group. She ensures that each candidate she chooses has the right skills, experience, and qualifications for the job and matches what the hiring managers look for. Then, once she finds the right candidate, Kathleen assists them with onboarding to ensure they’re all set for their first day at BMG.
A Day in the Life of Kathleen De Leon
Kathleen starts her day by checking emails, processing applications, performing video and phone call interviews with applicants, onboarding new hires, and doing other administrative work.
Her favorite part about her job at BMG is giving offers to her candidates and filling open positions throughout the company. When asked about her favorite part, Kathleen stated:
“Not only am I happy for the candidates that they were able to get their dream job, but I am happy as well for BMG that they found the right candidate to make the company work better as a whole.”
When we asked Kathleen if there was anything that surprised her about working in the property management industry, she said:
“The world is really small. It’s amazing how we are all connected in some ways, even if we work from different parts of the world.”

Getting to Know Kathleen Outside of the Office
- When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do? – “Dance. I’ve always been passionate about it.”
- Tell us something off your bucket list – “I’m an adrenaline junkie. Adreniline-rush activities are always on my to-do list whenever I travel. I’ve tried canyoneering, paragliding, skydiving, and a lot more. What I haven’t tried yet and would like to really soon is bungee jumping.”
- If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why? – “Walt Disney. His works made a huge impact on my childhood.”
- What is the best book you have ever read? – “Unfortunately, I don’t read much. The only books I have finished reading at all are school books.”
- If you could dis-invent one thing, what would it be? – “Explosives.”
- What are three words to describe yourself? – “Passionate, Versatile, Adventurous.”
