Meet Michael Gray, Leasing Agent for BMG
Leasing agents are crucial for successful property management companies in Philadelphia. Michael is one of our excellent leasing agents here at BMG and has been with us for a little over two years.
When it comes to his background, Michael considers himself a jack-of-all-trades with a variety of professional experience. However, he had just entered the rental property management industry around two years ago and now holds a real estate license.

A Day in the Life of Michael Gray
Michael usually starts his work day around 8 am and has a hybrid type of work environment. For instance, he spends the majority of his day driving to properties to hold tours and comes back to the office to complete paperwork.
His main responsibility as a leasing agent includes ensuring a positive experience for new tenants and rental property owners. He always strives to make a good first impression on incoming tenants while showing homes and writing leases.
Michael’s Favorite Part of Being a Leasing Agent
According to Michael, his favorite part of being a leasing agent is meeting all of the interesting people in Philadelphia! Being such a populated city, there are people from all walks of life to meet and interact with.
Something that surprised him about working in the property management industry is the amount of work it takes to get a new property ready to rent. Between maintenance and paperwork, there’s a lot to do to ensure a property is move-in ready for new tenants.
When asked about one thing he wished people knew about his job, Michael responded,
“It is fast-paced and challenging to stay organized while driving from place to place.”
That said, taking measures to help yourself stay organized is important. Have a plan and stick to it!
