Meet Edith Lopez, Property Manager
Edith started working for Bay Property Management Group in January 2022 as a property manager for our Northern Virginia office.
Before working here at BMG, she studied tourism business management, working with vacation rentals. Here’s what she has to say about her time so far at BMG.
A Day in the Life of Edith Lopez
As a property manager, Edith is responsible for various aspects of the properties she manages on behalf of the property owner. For instance, some of the things she does on a daily basis include:
- Handling all tenant complaints or requests
- Answering property owners’ questions and concerns
- Collecting rent payments
- Keeping each property well-maintained
While keeping all of these issues in check, Edith arranges for repairs, regular maintenance, and property cleanings. Generally speaking, she’s responsible for ensuring all properties in her portfolio are well-managed and maintained. Additionally, she always ensures her tenants’ and property owners’ needs are met.

Getting to Know Edith Lopez Outside of the Office
- When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do? – “I like spending time with my friends and family playing board games and karaoke. I also enjoy swimming, singing, and playing the guitar.”
- Tell us something off your bucket list – “I’d love to put real music to a couple of songs of my own composition.”
- If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why? – “There are many reasons why my person would be Jesus; I wonder how my relationship with him would be different from the one [we have] now.”
- What is the best book you have ever read? – “The Wheel of Life: A Memoir of Living and Dying” by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. The author is a renowned psychiatrist and pioneer in the field of hospice care. She shares insights and observations about life and death and even the afterlife. She explores the spiritual dimensions of death and dying and the role that love and compassion plays in the process.
- If you could dis-invent one thing, what would it be? – “If it were in my power to dis-invest one thing, it would definitely be the atomic bomb. I believe humankind must thoroughly look into this complex issue that involves weighing the potential benefits and risks of nuclear weapons. ”
- What are three words to describe yourself? – “Determined, artistic, and straightforward.”
