Regional Property Manager – Baltimore

I started my Property Management career back in 2007, I like to say that I didn’t choose property management, I just fell into it. I was out of high school and was just looking for a job to make money, so that I could afford to buy concert tickets to see my favorite “emo” bands. I started working part-time as a front desk receptionist. The hours were terrible, but eventually, I was offered a full-time position, working the day shift, Monday-Friday, with much better hours.

When one of our leasing agents turned in their notice of resignation, I informed my property manager at the time that I wanted to apply for that role, which she agreed to. After an interview with our Regional Manager, I was offered the leasing agent role and started handling leasing tasks in summer of 2009. Eventually, I got promoted to Leasing Manager, then to Assistant Property Manager.

In September of 2015, I unfortunately decided to give my notice of resignation to the company that started my property management career. It was a difficult decision, but a necessary one, as I felt as though I was no longer able to grow, as I had wanted to. I was able to secure a new job as an on-site property manager for a small, garden-style apartment complex. In April of 2016, I received a message from a recruiter on LinkedIn, asking if I would be interested in interviewing for a small company, called Bay Management Group. While I had recently started a new job in September of the previous year, this opportunity would be closer to home, offered better hours, and slightly higher pay, so I agreed, and an interview was set up with Patrick Freeze.

I left that interview without really knowing how it went. The next day I received a call from Patrick, offering me the role of a property manager. I started working with BMG on May 16, 2016, I worked in our Baltimore office as a PM, then as the Lead PM, and in 2021, when we acquired our NOVA office, I was offered the role as Director of Property Management for our Northern Virginia office.

I am so happy and blessed to be a part of this amazing company. The growth that has taken place since I joined in 2016 is incredible to see, and I can only hope that I’m here for years to come.
