Tony Cook

COO of BMG

Tony Cook started with BMG back in September of 2013 as the 12th staff member at the company. The company was very small, and Tony was one of 3 folks in the accounting team. Tony came onboard after graduating with BS in Business Admin from RIT and struggling to find good employment.

Tony worked aside two other members of the accounting team until the Controller was let go. At that point I took over the Controller role for about 1 year, at which point I was promoted to COO and oversaw the Baltimore office. Tony ran the Baltimore office until the end of 2022, at which point we promoted someone new, and Tony then stepped aside and oversees the offices heads for the 4 offices. Laurel office worked closely with Tony for the last 5 years or so and the NOVA office was partially run by Tony until end of 2022 as well. The Philly office was added 1/1/23.

Tony has extensive knowledge of BMG and Property Management. Being one of the first handful of staff members at the company, he has been responsible for implementing a large range of things at the company. Everything from our server to software to structuring our departments has gone through Tony. Tony is responsible for rolling out the IT, recruiting, and PM training departments. Additionally, Tony oversees the heads of those departments as well. Tony has vast experience with BMG’s finances as well as operations. Tony has brought in countless contractors to do work for BMG as well.

Tony is also responsible for bringing VA’s into the company to drastically reduce company costs and provide more support to the operations.

Tony’s strengths are his organization, attention to detail, drive, integrity, sense of urgency, work ethic, communication, and genuine care and concern for the Company and its stakeholders.

Tony’s background prior to coming to BMG was in accounting. He worked for various types of private and public businesses where did everything from taxes to bookkeeping.
