Controller
Bay Management Group is searching for a Controller to come onboard our growing company! This individual will be responsible for overseeing 4 staff members (2 managers and 2 staff members), reviewing bank accounts on a daily basis for odd transactions, health care, 401k, reviewing monthly financials (staff will prepare), and any projects that come up. We are targeting someone who has at least 3 years of management experience, is organized, and good at working in a fast paced environment. You should be a forward thinker and want to always look to have your department run smoother and more efficient.

Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Management of a 12-person accounting team (only 4 of them will report directly to you)
- Establish and enforce companywide accounting policies
- Serve as the lead Admin on all platforms that we use (Bank, Credit Cards, Quickbooks)
- Oversee the year-end 1099s process
- Develop and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Evolve, maintain, and manage all accounting systems
- Work alongside department heads to produce necessary reports
- Frequently interact with various levels of management and other departments
- Special projects and other duties, as assigned by management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills and Quick Books knowledge, and AppFolio experience a plus
- Background in accounting or financial management
- An aptitude for learning new systems is a strong plus
- Background in accounting or financial management
- Minimum of 3 years accounting management experience
- Prior property management experience is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail while also maintaining a strategic mindset
- Consistently improve processes and provide accurate, timely financials to owners
- Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Salary $135K-$150K
