Eric brings his extensive experience and dedication to our team, ensuring properties are well-marketed and prospective tenants have a smooth and efficient rental process.

Meet Eric Brecka, Senior Leasing Agent for BMG Baltimore
Eric joined Bay Management Group as a Leasing Agent in January 2017. He brings a unique professional background to his role, having previously worked in film/TV production and as a realtor. Prior to his work in property management in Baltimore, he worked as a bank teller at PNC bank and for several production companies, even working on films like “Jamesy Boy” and “Better Living Through Chemistry.” He also served as a realtor from 2020-2024.
Eric is responsible for making sure properties are rented to qualified tenants as quickly as possible. This includes marketing properties, responding to prospective tenants, and coordinating property showings and move-ins. He also serves as a crucial point of contact, keeping property owners informed throughout the process and communicating with property managers about upcoming tenant needs.
A Day in the Life of Eric
A typical day for Eric is a mix of administrative tasks and in-the-field work. He usually starts his day by checking emails and prioritizing tasks, often from his home office, a nearby café, or the BMG office. Throughout the day, his responsibilities vary widely. He might spend his time responding to leads and following up with prospects, or he might be out at properties conducting walk-throughs and meeting with prospective tenants. He notes that the job requires a lot of flexibility, as he could be helping someone fill out an in-person application one minute and providing property measurements to a client the next.
His favorite part of the job is the freedom of movement it provides. He appreciates the ability to manage his own schedule and to get out of the office to meet people and visit properties.
“One thing I wish people knew about my job is that you’re basically always on,” Eric shares. “While you can technically be ‘off the clock,’ your phone is always there receiving texts and calls. It’s a job that requires you to be responsive and available.”
Why Eric Loves BMG
When asked what sets Bay Management Group apart, Eric highlights the company’s commitment to its employees. “I haven’t worked at any other property management company, but I will say that BMG won’t leave you out to dry. If you run into a snag, management and coworkers will do their best to find a solution.”
Getting to Know Eric Outside the Office
When he’s not working, Eric loves to exercise, swim, and use the sauna at the gym. He also enjoys cooking, grilling, and traveling locally, whether it’s camping in western Maryland or exploring new restaurants in Baltimore and Washington D.C. A bucket list item he hopes to check off soon is visiting all seven continents—especially Antarctica.
If he could meet anyone, living or dead, Eric would choose Chris Farley. He says he loved his movies and SNL skits as a kid and that Farley seemed like a genuinely kind-hearted and hilarious person. His favorite book is The Book by Alan Watts.
When asked to describe himself in three words, Eric says: Calm, Loyal, and Foodie—qualities that make him a valued member of the BMG team!
Eric’s Advice for Industry Newcomers
“The best piece of advice I can offer is to be patient and keep a steady course,” Eric explains. “When things get hectic and overwhelming, address one task at a time to completion. Don’t do five different tasks at once and have them all half done.”
