Meet Trey Helms, Director of Recruitment
Trey brings an extensive and varied background to his role at Bay Property Management Group. After graduating with a degree in Economics from Wheaton College in Boston in 2007, Trey started his recruiting career with an environmental search firm. There, he worked to provide services to the Environmental Industry in the Engineering, Consulting, and Remediation segments. In 2012, Trey came back to Baltimore to leverage his experience in the accounting and finance field. During those 9 years, he developed a strong relationship with Bay Property Management Group. Then, in 2021, he was presented an opportunity to create a talent acquisition department to keep up with the continued growth.
Trey likes working in the city because he’s a native of Baltimore County and he’s always wanted to work in Baltimore City. Rooted in rich history, Baltimore has an overwhelming sense of pride and community.
A Day in the Life of the Director of Recruitment
Trey has many responsibilities, including developing and executing strategies to identify and attract top talent to Bay Management Group at corporate and site levels. During a typical workday, Trey focuses on candidate research to try and find new ways to identify, contact, and engage with the best talent in the industry. He spends a large portion of his day interviewing career-driven candidates either by video or in-person, then making detailed presentations to office leaders. When asked what his favorite part of his job was, Trey responded:
