Meet Nina Bartolome, Philadelphia Property Manager
Nina Bartolome is one of BMG’s dedicated property managers. She started at BMG around seven months ago and has been in the rental and property management industry for over four years.
Her background in customer service, technical support, and property management helped her develop the skills she uses every day in her current role.
A Day in the Life of Nina Bartolome
Nina works in Manila, so she begins working around 9 pm, which is 9 am EST. As a property manager, her responsibilities include managing tenant relations and overseeing property maintenance. Additionally, she’s responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations to keep everything running smoothly.
Usually, she starts her day by checking emails, service requests, and tenant messages to address any urgent concerns. Then, she coordinates maintenance requests with vendors, conducts property inspections, and ensures everything is in order. That said, Nina’s favorite part of her job is building relationships with tenants and being able to help them resolve issues. She says,
“It’s rewarding to see how a little support can make a big difference in their living experience.”
Something that’s surprised her about working in this industry is how many different situations can pop up. She explains,
“Just when I think I’ve seen it all, something unexpected happens–whether it’s a unique tenant request or a sudden maintenance issue. It definitely keeps things interesting and reminds me that no two days are the same!”
When asked about one thing she wished people knew about her job, Nina replied:
“I wish people knew just how much goes on behind the scenes. It’s not just about collecting rent and handling maintenance; there’s a lot of problem-solving and relationship-building involved. Every day, I’m juggling different tasks and trying to ensure tenants and property owners are happy. It can be quite the balancing act!”

Getting to Know Nina Bartolome Outside of the Office
- When you’re not in the office, what do you like to do? – “When I’m not in the office, I love to watch live bands. I miss the old days when I played in different hotels and bars with my friends and bandmates. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially singing karaoke–it’s a classic Filipino pastime!.”
- Tell us something off your bucket list – “One thing on my bucket list is to travel to Japan and experience the culture firsthand. I’ve always been fascinated by the food, scenery, and history. Plus, I’d love to explore the music scene there–it’s such a vibrant part of the culture!.”
- If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why? – “It would definitely be my mom, who passed away two years ago. I miss her so much, and there are days when the sadness and heartache feel overwhelming. I’d give anything to have just one more conversation with her and share all the little things happening in my life.”
- What is the best book you have ever read? – “Honestly, the best book I’ve ever read is the one I keep meaning to start! With my busy schedule, I feel like I should win an award for “Most Dedicated Non-Reader”. If only binge-watching shows counted as reading–I’d be a literary genius!”
- If you could dis-invent one thing, what would it be? – “If I could dis-invent one thing, it would be smartphones. They’re great for staying connected, but they also keep us in a constant state of distraction and urgency. Imagine life without the constant notifications and pressure to always be “on” – we could actually enjoy the moment and connect with the world around us!”
- What are three words to describe yourself? – “I’d describe myself as sincere, warm-hearted, and dedicated. I genuinely care about others, put their needs first, and am committed to positively impacting everything I do.”
