Meet Nia Thompson, Assistant Property Manager for BMG

Our property management company in Baltimore couldn’t function without pros like Nia. She is an experienced assistant property manager who keeps our Hillsdale Manor Apartments and Forest Glen Townhomes portfolio running smoothly. 

Nia attended Salisbury University for two years, and her professional journey is marked by a diverse range of experiences. She holds a Microsoft Office certification and is a Registered Behavior Technician. Before transitioning into her current role, Nia served as an intelligence analyst and customer service agent, ultimately bringing her expertise to property management. She has been a dedicated property manager for the past four years.

Nia’s varied career has honed her ability to analyze and integrate the many components that drive successful property management. Her keen attention to detail equips her to adeptly navigate and resolve complex tenant issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

A Day in the Life  of Nia Thompson

Nia begins her day bright and early, dedicated to fostering an atmosphere of open and welcoming communication with her team and tenants.

She starts by warmly greeting and assisting residents, embodying her commitment to exceptional service. Throughout the day, Nia invests considerable time in resolving tenant issues, coordinating with all relevant parties via phone or email to ensure a smooth and efficient process. She also serves as a key point of contact for potential new tenants, providing them with the information they need about available units.

But, her job role extends well beyond direct interactions. Even after a busy day of addressing tenant needs, Nia remains organized and proactive. She diligently updates spreadsheets, sends out lease renewals, and meets critical deadlines.

What Nia enjoys most about her job is the opportunity to assist residents directly. She finds it incredibly fulfilling to witness the positive impact of her work in real-time and to connect with the people she serves, learning about their lives and unique stories.

Nia wants everyone to know just how hard she works to support her residents and ensure their satisfaction. Her commitment to their well-being is at the heart of everything she does.

As she noted, patience is key in property management. After all, situations can often be complex and require careful handling.  

So, thoroughly explaining lease terms and help as needed can go a long way in fostering positive relationships with residents. All in all, she concluded that by empowering residents with knowledge and support, we can create a more harmonious living environment and strengthen trust and communication within the community.
